Motion Graphics Examples

Motion graphics are usually displayed via electronic media technology, but can on occasions such as zoopraxiscopes which are showcased by manual powered technology. Motion graphics use video footage, animation technology and/ or sequential images to create the illusion of movement.

Example 1.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPbMNYLFvaA&feature=related
This is a basic example of a motion graphic; it has been created using a video camera and thus is in the category of real footage. Although it is very simple it is extraordinarily effective, when the ink moves across the screen or becomes a full screen image it gives the impression of unrealistic motion.

Typography + After effects =Motion.
After Effects is an industry standard computer programme for developing motion graphics; almost anything possible animation wise can be created using this software. This particular animation is more complex, than example 1, due to the input of After Effects, the text could have initially been hand rendered using printing blocks and scanned or invented digitally using another adobe software programme such as Illustrator, then taken, arranged and animated using After Effects.
